storyboarding

Blogspot really did a number on the quality of this picture! Here's an alternate version. Better colors...

I haven't updated in a VERY long time... sorry! Been busy with school but now that things are winding down I am simultaneously freaking out/relaxing a bit more.

Anyway, these are the color panels for my final storyboarding assignment. We only had to do 5 color panels. I might post the whole storyboard when the class is over!

Back to work...

Doodles

I got a little restless during class and ended up doodling all over my Style thumbnails. More stuff later! This lite term has been good for me and I've been getting more motivated to do my own thing and draw more.

Long absence

I haven't updated in so very long! So sorry... I've been meaning to but I have difficulty finding things that I want to scan (I'm also addicted to making blogs for art yet I update them very rarely.) I've been on vacation/studying Mandarin in Taipei for a month and a half now, but I'll be coming back on Tuesday. I've sketched a bit here but I've also found a lot of inspiration in the magical grittiness of this city and the vast countryside and nostalgic feeling I get when I see acres of rice paddies zooming by while on the high speed rail. Expect some exciting things (perhaps) when I get back to the states.

Meanwhile, the only drawing I've done digitally while here. It's a little boring/standard fare but I feel like it's been a while so I think it's okay to try to warm up these old bones with something I'm used to.

to the little people

We had to draw 30 hair styles, men's and women's for Will Weston's Inventive Drawing class... I think this was personally the most fun I've had on an assignment in a really long time. Of course mine are silly and a little bit typical of me but these are the ones I liked. The first one is a typical creeper! He's watching you from a bush outside your window...
The second is a sexy nerd type with a bob that I always draw for these assignments.
Will said the third looked like a sociopath
And the fourth is a fancy lady!
The last one is the girls' favorite, Audrey Hepburn.

Inventive Character: The Snow Queen

First character for my Inventive Character class. I kind of rushed it at the end and I'm not 100% happy with it, but...
Hm. I'm actually looking forward to the other characters. Right now I'm working on the grandmother. My teacher was kind of baffled by my choice but whatever... I like old people.

doodle diary 1

I started a sort of doodle diary, then smashed it together on Photoshop. I wanted to pop in some more color and maybe do a little painting on some of these, but maybe at another time, with different drawings... preferably not during midterms.

Drawing for Illustration

I found some flash drives in my bag while cleaning today and realized I never uploaded my final for Drawing for Illustration on this blog. It was a fun class and I'm 2 terms behind in showing any of the work.

These aren't all the drawings from the final, just the ones I like the best. I had some drawings from class, but I haven't gotten around to documenting the other work that I like.

sigh

I need to put my scanner to work but I'm so lazy lately I really hate my life and some of my classes this term

inventive character (the Snow Queen)
I took some liberties on the design/story but let's just consider it canon, okay?

Just... random

I have lots of sketchbook shit oh my god why don't I just scan it?! Yea I don't get it either. I bought this animal book today so I'll be drawing animals and fat people and all that.
